Whether engraving a gold ring, adding a special inscription in a watch, beautifying a necklace or personalizing a bracelet, personalization is on the rise. Traditional craftsmanship, initially engraved by hand, now the computer-controlled (CNC) engraving machine offers new engraving possibilities: text, logo, handwritten message, fingerprint, patterns, textures, photos, … The customer experience in retail revolves around the comfort of your customer. Aesthetics and pin-sharp precision are essential when engraving jewelry. Each ring, pendant or bracelet can be personalized and thus becomes unique. For the final touch, you can also provide the inside of rings with a meaningful inscription. The Gravotech technologies allow you to engrave all kinds of different materials, especially precious metals and alloys, in countless shapes. “New” material used in jewelry, such as wood or plastics, can also be engraved. With diamond engraving, you process the jewel without loss of material (no burrs or dust). When surface marking with the laser, only a small amount will evaporate. The personalized jewel does not lose precious weight or value.
A separate branch is the personalization of jewelry and gifts. In this way, you as a customer can personalize the gift and incorporate the memory of that one special moment or achievement in the article. Depending on the material, the surface and the wishes regarding the engraving, the engraving text can be applied in different ways. The amount of traditional handicraft, the use of tools or the use of machines differ in this respect. The possibilities and the result will therefore be different per type of engraving. The most common engravings are machine engraving and traditional hand engraving.

Cutting for creators
There are wide range of solutions for cutting precious metals for the jewelry industry:
In laser
- Welase Fiber 30 Watts will allow you to cut up to 1mm of material.
- The wobbling cutting method increases the thermal radiation of the laser beam and improves its efficiency. As an example, for a 0.5mm thick brass, this method allows to decrease the time by 5 compared to a classical vector cutting.
- The pin table allows you to raise the material during cutting and thus avoid deformation and color degradation due to overheating of the material.
In mechanical
- Our cutting table specially designed for the M20 ensures the material is held in place for stable and smooth cutting. Lubrication is also facilitated by the rising edges of the table to avoid dirtying the work area.
- Improve the quality of your engravings while reducing tool deterioration by using a lubricant. Our Engraving Gel is a non-irritating, odorless lubricant that is easy to use and will not disturb your customers’ visit. Ideal for an in-store environment.
